Netflix’s LEGO House documentary – my 0.5 second of fame

Netflix has produced interesting documentary about LEGO House. It was available in us for quite some time, but it finally can be seen in Poland where i live.  I’m featured in the documentary for a few frames, filmed while preparing models for Masterpiece Gallery, where my models were exhibited for almost a year.

You can view the video following this link: https://www.netflix.com/title/81002885

Old Polish comic book tribute

Fiki Miki is tribute to old classic polish comic books – “Awantury i wybryki małej małpki Fiki Miki” by Kornel Makuszyński and Marian Walentynowicz, more famous for their “Adventures of Koziołek Matołek”. This build was supposed to be exhibited during Polish Comics exhibition in Krakow’s National Museum, along with some other builds from my LUG Zbudujmy To! but was canceled lastminute.
That is not the only model i made for this exhibit. Gapiszon is another hero from my childhood reads. Here he is in a Brickheads version:

60 Alternative Models of 40270 Valentine Bee

During Easter Holidays we went to my wife’s family. I knew we wouldn’t have much to do there, so i took 40270 Valentine Bee Brickheadz set to start #60yearsOfTheBrick challenge.

My task was to build 60 alternative models out of one set. I shared it on Facebook and Instagram so people could ask what should i build next. Here are results:

If you want to take a better look, please go to my flickr account. Actually there are 63 alternative builds, as there were some additional requests. Also sorry for the poor quality of the photos, i was taking them at the holiday table.

How do YOU think, which set should i use next time for similar challenge?

75 years of Le Petit Prince

It seems exactly 75 years ago Little Prince book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery was released. Thank you Sue Ann for reminding. I have something for the occasion i built some time ago:

The model is currently being displayed in Masterpieces Gallery in LEGO House.

Moon 1969 – first step on the moon.

Here is another entry for Ideas’s LEGO Moments in Space contest. This one depicts first step of the moon. If you want to have it as gift with purchase set on Shop@Home, please vote for it here.

Funny story is, when i started building it got a little bit carried away. The number of elements is right, as both versions have about 300 of them, but the size is 2 times too big 🙂

I like the look of it a lot, but the contest version is the small one.

Please also check my other try at this contest here:  http://crazy.builders/2018/02/10/3-2-1-liftoff/

3… 2… 1… LIFTOFF!!!

This is my entry into LEGO Moments in Space contest on IDEAS.

If you like it,  please vote and it may become Gift with Purchase Set available at Shop@Home.  The set has 2 modes – first is the rocket standing on a platform that can be great ornament on any shelf, second is the rocket in the very moment of start, which looks even greater.

Here is a closer look:

Nikola Tesla and one of his Machines

Nikola Tesla

Here is my newest MOC showing Nikola Tesla and one of his machines. In fact this is not Tesla’s machine but magnetic bearing inspired by works of Yoshihito Isogawa, and his playing with non Lego neodymium magnets.

Beware those magnets are not safe for kids, and can be lethal if swallowed. If you swallow two of them and they snap through your internal organs they can cause perforation and serious injuries.

Below is video showing how it works, but if you want to see it in person, join me in Skaerbaek 2017 where this MOC will be presented.

How do we transport our models?

How do we transport our models? Is the question we often hear on our exhibitions. Today i have 2 videos showing hour our models are transported:

If you wonder, the boxes are made out of 5 layer cardboard in a  international standard FEFCO301. We ordered them here: http://www.cart-pack.pl/fefco.html but i would recommend finding local producer, as the boxes have to be sent folded, and that would be quite expensive.

As you see on video we have one of the sides unstapled so you can easily open it and remove the model. Cover is fully stapled.

If you have any more questions, please leave them in the comments, either here or on facebook.

Crazy Builders new logo animation.

I have built this logo some time ago with a little help of my rabbit Krusia. Now, thanks to Kamil Wolnikowski, also known as Jammer on C64 demo-scene, we have it sound enhanced! Thank you Kamil!

This logo will be used on youtube channel and all upcoming videos that were waiting to be published until it’s ready 😉 Tune in as they are coming soon.
